Ravenglass is the only coastal village in the Lake District National Park. The village is perched on the edge of the estuary of three rivers, the Esk, Irt and Mite. Ravenglass with its Roman fort is the most westerly point of the Roman Frontier.

Wast Water in Cumbria is a spectacular place and was voted Britain's Favourite View by the viewers of ITV. It is England's deepest lake and the fells including the Scafells and Great Gable rise above it.

Wasdale is situated in the west of the Lake District and
Wast Water is England’s deepest lake. From Wasdale you can see England’s highest mountain Scafell Pike as well as peaks such as Scafell and Great Gable.

Hardknott Fort is high in the lakeland fells close to the pass of the same name. The pass goes between Ambleside and Eskdale.
The fort is part of Hadrian’s frontier being between the fort at Ravenglass on the coast and Ambleside.

The Screes at the side of Wast Water, in the Lake District fall steeply into this the deepest lake in England. Depending on the light levels the colour changes from a dark cold grey to a warm brown.
